Looking for a program to cut a dvdmovie into 2 discs... Got the file already on my pc, but is 7,5gig big. If i burn it to one dvd, the compression is too high, so i want to cut the file in two.... Anyone knows a good prog for that ?

Of course I presume the original file is a licenced-original-DVD you bought in the store. By law you are permitted to make a copy for private use from it. For a full DVD I use: DVD-decrypter and DVD Shrink 3.2 With the first I can decrypt all original dvd's (except for sony protection) and make the iso-files. Having the iso-files or having an image of a dvd gives you most of the time 7,5 GB (dual layer). So you need a program to: - or shrink the whole DVD= lower the quality - but the most recent ones are made for 1400x840 p/inch) or the possibility to erase unwanted files DVDShrink is used to rearrange and select the files I want to get burned afterwards. In the "make copy-options" you can define the max size of the iso-files. You can choose to keep the maximum size (eg originally 7,8 GB or shrinked 4,5 GB) ore devide. I have selected the option to devide in iso-files of 1 GB and afterwards, with neroburn I make the video-dvd and can make a choice if it's not-shrinked to burn them on 2 dvd's. On these sites you can download the program and on the pages you can read the quick-start-possibilities. DVDDecrypter: www.mrbass.org/dvdrip/DVDShrink: www.mrbass.org/dvdshrink/Have made dozens of private copies of mine, because when we're on holiday, I don't want to take the originals with me. Good luck.

Ofcourse i have the original! I have both progs, but allways use "re-author" on dvd-shrink to decrease the size to 1 dvd (4.7gig). Never use the option with iso files and cut into 2 dvd's. Like "king kong" to big for 1 dvd, when u want to hold a good compression. When i got the time i ll try to split it like u said. Thx!
